General management of the activities of the regional center, compliance with the requirements of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Preschool Education and Upbringing”, “On Education”, “On State Civil Service”, “On the Status of a Pedagogue” and other laws and regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Charter of the regional center;
To conclude economic contracts on behalf of the regional center, to represent the interests of the regional center in foreign and local organizations, as well as to submit reports on its activities to the Ministry;
To manage the financial resources of the regional center within its powers in accordance with the legislation;
To ensure the use of budget funds allocated to the regional center in the areas of expenditure specified in the estimate, as well as extra-budgetary funds;
to open accounts of the regional center and other bank accounts in the treasury departments;
to issue orders and powers of attorney within the scope of its powers;
to appoint and dismiss employees of the regional center in accordance with the established procedure;
to determine the powers of deputy directors and other officials, to distribute responsibilities between them, to determine the level of personal responsibility in managing structural divisions and departments;
to hear reports of deputy directors, heads of departments and heads of departments;
to encourage employees who have worked effectively, to resolve issues of bringing to disciplinary responsibility in accordance with the established procedure employees who have approached their work irresponsibly and have not fulfilled the tasks assigned to them on time;
Based on the recommendations of the Council of the Regional Center, approve curricula, programs and plans for scientific and methodological work and monitor the implementation of lectures, laboratory exercises, scientific and practical work;
Strengthen the educational, methodological and material and technical base of the pedagogical center and organize work on providing household services to students;
Approve the internal rules and regulations of the regional center in the established manner and monitor the implementation of these rules by employees and students;
Take measures to create a healthy spiritual and creative environment in the team;
Ensure compliance with sanitary and hygienic requirements, labor protection, technical and fire safety rules for the activities of regional centers;
Ensuring the implementation of state educational requirements, curricula and programs, and other educational and methodological documents for the retraining and advanced training of preschool and school teachers in the educational process, and monitoring the quality of education;
Coordination of research and scientific and methodological work carried out at the regional center;

Taking measures to expand cooperation between pedagogical staff and professors of higher educational institutions in priority scientific fields (mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, native language and literature, foreign languages, psychology, primary education) through the "Ustoz-shogird" system, together with the regional center, the regional department of preschool and school education and higher educational institutions in the region;
approve, in accordance with the established procedure, regulatory documents regulating the duties, labor and other rights, and functional responsibilities of departments, departments, professors, teachers, and employees;
The director of the regional center may also be assigned other tasks stipulated by law.
